Each measuring approximately 11mm across, with a total drop length of approximately 32mm.
Vermeil is a gold plating onto Sterling Silver. All Vermeil pieces stocked, or made, by Golden Snowdrop are plated in 18ct yellow gold to a minimum thickness of 2.5 microns. This is much thicker than standard gold plating with far better wearability. How long this will last does depend on how your piece is worn and the type of piece. Items such as rings, that have more contact and movement will wear more quickly than earrings etc. To prolong the life of your vermeil pieces we recommend, as with all jewellery, that pieces are removed for sleeping, washing or swimming. Contact with chemicals and perfumes should also be avoided. A soft jewel cloth is recommended for cleaning. We offer a replating service for any items of jewellery should you need it, whether for pieces created by us or purchased elsewhere.
The Collections Personal Story:
Developed by our founder Stephanie Longhurst towards the end of 2022 as a fun light hearted collection to mark the stores second anniversary and work in compliment to our crescent moon collection.
We look forward to this story continuing and our pieces marking your own calibrations and achievements!
I first entered Stephanie’s shop more than 2 years ago whilst visiting Shaftesbury . I needed 2 bespoke rings altered which Stephanie was able to do. She has since worked on the rings again, coming up with solutions when Arthritis has meant they have needed further alterations . Her work has always been to a very high standard and even today she helped again when I called in unexpectedly. The journey from Southampton is always worthwhile, I know my jewellery is always in safe hands with Stephanie.
