Inverted pear shaped drop earrings, with a subtle twist detail.

Reminiscent of the shape of lotus petals.

Lotus flowers are a symbol of purity, rebirth and spiritual enlightenment.

Handmade in Yellow Gold Vermeil, by us at Golden Snowdrop Jewellers in Shaftesbury, Dorset.

Petal measuring approximately 19mm x 13mm with a total drop length of approximately 35mm.

Vermeil is a gold plating onto Sterling Silver. All Vermeil pieces stocked, or made, by Golden Snowdrop are plated in 18ct yellow gold to a minimum thickness of 2.5 microns. This is much thicker than standard gold plating with far better wearability. How long this will last does depend on how your piece is worn and the type of piece. Items such as rings, that have more contact and movement will wear more quickly than earrings etc. To prolong the life of your vermeil pieces we recommend, as with all jewellery, that pieces are removed for sleeping, washing or swimming. Contact with chemicals and perfumes should also be avoided. A soft jewel cloth is recommended for cleaning. We offer a replating service for any items of jewellery should you need it, whether for pieces created by us or purchased elsewhere.

The Collections Personal Story.
An accidental unplanned collection. Developed by Stephanie Longhurst inadvertently from our Raindrop collection. Stephanie was playing with the different layouts of the raindrops when she stumbled across what is now our Lotus centrepiece necklace. Remembering that, just raindrops symbolise fresh starts and new life, lotus symbolise rebirth, it seemed only fitting that some pf our raindrops should be reincarnated as lotus blossoms! This collection now rivals the original raindrop collection for popularity. It is after all a lovely shape.
