  • Refirbished

An antique late Victorian ruby and diamond cluster ring, dating to circa 1890.
The design centres on a vibrant ruby, surrounded by ten rose cut diamonds arranged in a classic cluster formation. In keeping with period craftsmanship, the stones are set in silver to enhance the diamonds’ natural brightness, with an 18ct yellow gold band providing warmth and contrast.
This combination of materials and setting style is characteristic of the late Victorian era, where refined detail and balanced gemstone compositions were highly favoured.
Ring size P ½. We are happy to advise on resizing where appropriate.
A timeless antique piece, offering both genuine period provenance and elegant, wearable design.

The Late Victorian Era - Aesthetic Period

1885 - 1901

The Late Victorian period reflects a shift towards lighter, more artistic design following the heavier styles of the mid-Victorian years. Influenced by the Aesthetic Movement, jewellery from this era favours refined craftsmanship, nature-inspired motifs, and a more considered use of diamonds and coloured gemstones. Designs often feel balanced and decorative, with an emphasis on beauty, symbolism, and wearability.
