Edwardian Swallow Pendant - Antique Remodel

An antique Edwardian 9ct gold swallow pendant, remodelled from an original brooch. Circa 1901–1910.

Swallow motifs were traditionally gifted to loved ones embarking on journeys, symbolising protection, safe return and enduring affection. The swallow remains a recognised emblem of loyalty and steadfast love.

The pendant measures approximately 22mm in length, with a wingspan of approximately 22mm and a total drop of approximately 25mm.
