This 9ct Yellow gold wedding band was commissioned by a customer as a replacment for a lost wedding ring. The ring was created and finished by hand from recycled yellow gold.
Design and Production Process
The recycled gold is melted down, cleaned to remove any impurities and poured into an ingot mold.
Once the metal ingot has been stretched into a bar of at the correct thickness it is then hand worked into the correct shape.
The ring is then joined and hand finished to ensure the surface is uniform and polished.
The Final Piece
This ring although simple in design carries alot of meaning and memories and the hand finished elements add to the rings story.
